Applications

Three machine classes we have equipped, described from the machine side: what the operator has to do, and what the control system has to show while they do it.

About the references

The installations below are real and running. We are not publishing customer names, machine photographs or production figures here, because we do not have written permission to do so. If you need a reference for your machine class, ask us and we will arrange a call with an installation, or share the details under NDA.

Power line construction

Tension stringing machine

Platform used

  • DS-101

The problem

  • Tension and pull force must be held precisely while two drums run in synchronisation; a mismatch damages the conductor.
  • The operator works from a control desk, not a cab, and needs tension, speed, pressure, temperature and alarms visible at once.
  • Every run has to be recorded, because the utility wants proof of how the conductor was tensioned.

What the system does

  • Tension, pull force and speed shown together with per-drum values, so an out-of-sync condition is visible before it becomes damage.
  • Twin-drum synchronisation and interlock logic running on the same terminal that displays them — one project, one supplier.
  • Key parameters logged on the device and pushed to the cloud for the run report.
  • Physical keys and a rotary encoder, because the desk is operated with gloves.

Mining

Underground drill rig

Platform used

  • DS-101

The problem

  • High dust, continuous vibration and poor light — the display has to stay readable and stay alive.
  • Drilling parameters, hydraulic pressures and safety interlocks all compete for the operator’s attention in a confined space.
  • Getting a service technician underground is slow, so faults need to be diagnosable remotely.

What the system does

  • Drilling parameters and machine state concentrated on one screen instead of across four gauges.
  • Hydraulic system and actuator status with safety interlocks, so a blocked interlock is visible rather than inferred.
  • Fault codes, work records and remote service access for diagnosis before anyone travels.

Municipal equipment

Street sweeper

Platform used

  • DS-101
  • DS-81

The problem

  • One operator has to watch sweeping, water, suction and the diesel particulate filter while driving in traffic.
  • Buttons have to work through gloves and in a vibrating cab.
  • Operating hours and duty parameters have to be recorded for the depot and for warranty questions.

What the system does

  • Sub-system states displayed together, so the operator sees a blocked filter without leaving the sweeping screen.
  • Physical keys plus a rotary encoder alongside the touchscreen, so the panel is operable with gloves.
  • Fault alarms and operating parameters logged on the device and retrievable per vehicle.
